Chapter 107: Sanggwan Chaek recalls a memory of his childhood where he watched a man slaughter a group of martial artists around him. Then in the present, he throws aside the Lightning God's Blue Dragon Sword and realizes that he is experiencing these memories due to the demonic influence of the sword and that he is struggling to contain its godly power. When Sanggwan Chaek notices blood on the side of his torso, the old man attacks him in retaliation. As Sanggwan Chaek struggles to get away, he ends up grabbing the Lightning God's Blue Dragon Sword and easily cuts the old man apart. With the old man dead, Sanggwan Chaek recalls Hyeon Jae-Yang's words on the indignity of relying on the power of the godly sword instead of striving to improve one's self but Sanggwan Chaek rejects those words, adding that he couldn't surpass his master no matter how hard he practiced.
On the surface, a group of agents sit around waiting for orders from their chief inspector. When the leader of the group is questioned on how long they have to wait, he replies that they will wait until the afternoon and that if they do not receive any orders, they will initiate Plan B. Meanwhile, a group of martial artists traverse the underground passages. One of them notices something and throws his spear but with it seemingly hitting nothing, he comes to the conclusion that he is imagining things. When the group of martial artists leave, Biryong emerges from the shadows revealing that the spear has struck his buttocks. As Biryong squirms in pain, Ilgak shows up and praises Biryong for holding off his screaming in order to protect his master. Then Ilgak removes the spear from Biryong and proceeds to correct Yongbi's distorted ki flow.
Yongbi in his unconscious state is once again recalling his past. (Continuing from chapter 101) Yongbi wonders who the girl he just met is, and a younger Elder Muk approaches him and informs him that the girl is the daughter of Hong Gi-Moon. Elder Muk has a short word with Yongbi before leaving. Then he recalls his time with the Gold Bug. The Gold Bug informs Yongbi that Elder Muk has arranged a meeting for the young man with the most powerful woman in the the murim. Then Elder Muk arrives with Hong Ye-Mong, who Yongbi recognizes as the young girl he met in the past. At that, Yongbi awakens and throws up upon seeing Ilgak's face.
