Chapter 126: Sitting in despair in a body of water, Yongbi receives a vision of the Grand General ordering him to slaughter the Horselords who the Grand General considers beasts, and a vision of the Prince angrily telling him that his people are humans just like them. Then Yongbi lashes out, claiming that he had it worse and that he and the Black Lancers fought to wash away their criminal past to become part of society again; to "become human", while the Horselords only had to fight to prove that they are humans. Succumbing to his despair, Yongbi lays down in the water.
Later, Yongbi wakes up in a bed surrounded by the Gold Bug and Biryong. After recovering, Yongbi requests the Gold Bug to find out the fate of the Horselords. The Gold Bug does so and informs Yongbi that the members of the Horselords sold themselves into slavery to survive and then asks Yongbi to accompany him to the murim as the young man has nowhere to return to.
The flashback ends here, and in the present, the Gold Bug reveals that since it was not Yongbi's own will that kept him alive, he does not feel any responsibilities to help the Horselords and that the money he sends is only a minimum payment for letting him keep breathing. Furthermore, the tribe is even refusing to receive the minimum payment. Ultimately, Yongbi is the only one who hasn't been able to move on. However, the Gold Bug is intrigued in the direction Yongbi's life will take when the young's man will is rekindled.
