Chapter 135: As a ball of ki envelopes Sanggwan Chaek and Yongbi recognizes it as Sword Force, a legendary technique achievable only by reaching the pinnacle of swordsmanship or through the power of the Lightning God's Blue Dragon Sword. Sanggwan Chaek unleashes the sword force and Yongbi counters it with a technique of his own. The ensuing clash results in a enormous explosion that radiates outward, engulfing everyone nearby and visibly scaring the outside of the Golden Castle.
When the dust settles, Ilgak emerges from the rubble and implores Hyeon Jae-Yang to leave immediately. Elsewhere, Yongbi lies unconscious among the rubble and recalls the past. In the flashback, Yongbi approaches Jeok Seong and asks him why he isn't celebrating with the rest of the Black Lancers. Jeok Seong reveals that the men exchange wills so that the survivors can take them to their families after the war and that despite their camaraderie, they will never meet up again as they intend to leave their past behind. Yongbi inquires further if they will see each other again even if betrayed and Jeok Seong responds that he will let it go just to erase the memories of the brutal battlefields. Then Yongbi wakes up, coughing up blood and thinks back to Jeok Seong's answer, wondering why he chose revenge instead of leaving the past behind.
