Chapter 18: Yongbi dispatches his assailants but despite their heavy injuries, they get up for another go. Meanwhile, the female observer compliments the destructive power of Yongbi's attacks but adds that she wanted to see the legendary Lu Family's Spear Style, the martial art that the Black Lancer Techniques are derived from. Below, Yongbi has suspicions that the assassins are trying to tire him, and unleashes his Nine Dragon Fangs technique, completely annihilating the assassins all at once.
Observing the aftermath in the empty town, Yongbi confirms that the town was a set-up to ambush him in. Then the blind beggar drops down and confronts Yongbi. The man introduces himself as Heukweol, the older brother of the person Yongbi killed in chapter 1, and challenges the latter to a fight. Feeling tired, Yongbi attempts to postpone the battle but Heukweol refuses and offers to divulge information on what Yongbi is looking for if he can defeat him. Yongbi is intrigued by this proposal and strikes first but Heukweol counters with a flurry of blows, launching him into a nearby building. Lying among the rubble, Yongbi expresses shock that Heukweol knows how to use the Sixteen Black Kill Thrusts and 'Four Headed Dragon Strike' technique.
