Chapter 1: Yongbi recalls past memories of one of his subordinates from the Black Lancers. Coming back to reality, Yongbi and Biryong humorously travel through the murim with an unwilling prisoner that resembles Goo Hwi (mirroring the events of the first chapter of Yongbi the Invincible). On their journey, the Yongbi encounters a threatening man but casually passes by over him.
Dropping off his prisoner at the prefectural offices, Yongbi then heads to an old acquaintance's home. Reaching the residence, he discovers the elderly couple had been slaughtered by the same man he had met earlier. After noting the old man's name as "Hwang", Yongbi proceeds to take down the killer's subordinates before attacking the killer himself.
