Chapter 22: As Yongbi approaches the downed Heukweol. The latter slowly rises, intending to retaliate. Yongbi advises him that the fight is over and demands information as per agreed upon. But Heukweol refuses, noting that he can still fight. At that, Yongbi realizes that the man isn't going to keep his promise and draws his sword to execute him, to which Heukweol responds with a chuckle. Then Yeonhwa intervenes by unleashing barrages of throwing knives at Yongbi, forcing him to take cover in a nearby building. Yeonhwa yells at Heukweol to escape, noting that she will fight Yongbi before rushing into the building after him while Heukweol unsuccessfully tries to stop her from doing so.
Inside the building, Yongbi arms himself with a scarf and confronts Yeonhwa. He recognizes her as the young lady who sold him a flower that morning and then questions her if she is Lord Moonjoo's daughter. Yeonhwa refuses to answer and charges at Yongbi wielding two jittes. Yongbi easily restrain Yeonhwa with the scarf and takes her out. Meanwhile Heukweol slowly makes his way into the building.
