Chapter 2: Ilgak remembers his task to retrieve the Holy Sutras by going in disguise as Shadowless Swordsman Neungbo, who would guide the people who had stolen the sutras. Arriving into their base, they inform Neungbo of the leader of the expedition, "Myo Daehyub", someone he was apparently already acquainted with. Suddenly Myo Daehyub arrives and Ilgak wonders what to do. Coming outside, he realises that Myo Daehyub was none other than Yongbi in a paper-thin disguise. Myo Daehyub enthusiastically greets Neungbo, much to the latter's chagrin.
Later, Ilgak and Yongbi humorously discuss the latter's plan to ransack the Bogwang Temple, a branch of the Shaolin, the following day. Returning back to their base, Yongbi informs the group of the change to attack immediately instead of the next day before exposing Ilgak as a spy from the Shaolin Temple.
Setting fire to their base, with a tied up Ilgak still inside, Myo Daehyub and his group head over to the Bogwang Temple...
