Chapter 38: Over wine, Yongbi tells an incredibly embellished story of how he captured Goo Hwi to Sanggwan Chaek. After running out of wine, Yongbi leaves to retrieve his cask of wine.
As Yongbi collects the cask of wine in his quarters, he wonders why the good-willed members of the Cheonwoong Faction has such animosity towards Goo Hwi. It is revealed that Goo Hwi once massacred forty elite warriors of the faction but Goo Hwi claims that it was in retaliation for them killing his men first. Yongbi then decides to check if Goo Hwi has gotten his sensations back after the latter threatens him, by tickling Goo Hwi's feet with a feather. After Goo Hwi shows no response, Yongbi leaves. With Yongbi gone, Goo Hwi reveals that he has regained feeling in his limbs and starts restoring his inner ki with the Black Dragon Cosmic Technique.
Back at the patio, Sanggwan Chaek holds Yongbi back from killing the monk from before, who has somehow slipped into Yongbi's cask and consumed all the wine.
