Chapter 4: Aeng Aeng screams and faints from Yongbi's reveal, startling Hwangbo Soong and his men. They quickly go back to searching the clothes before being frightened by Yongbi. Hearing their blood-curdling screams, the guards stationed outside moves in on the building as well as Biryong. Inside, Yongbi mocks the guards for calling themselves warriors yet easily scared and mentioning how he couldn't sleep when they are giving off such murderous intent. Yongbi humorously plays with the golden medallion before throwing it out the window where Biryong is waiting unbeknownst to Hwangbo. Biryong swallows the medallion before running off and Hwangbo orders all his men to give chase.
At that, Yongbi prepares to leave but Aeng Aeng strikes him with furniture for his antics. Meanwhile, Biryong skillfully evades capture, breaks into the stable and causes chaos by scattering the other horses. With the two guards outside his bedroom preoccupied with the chaos, the boy fashions a rope out of sheets and escapes his bedroom. He hides in a tree musing about how his father had misjudged Hwangbo's character before escaping over the walls. Eventually, the boy reaches the castle gates only to find soldiers guarding it. Goo Hwi then stealthy approaches him from behind and reaches for him...
