Chapter 57: The mountain bandits bring the mangled yet living bodies of their comrades to their boss, a large man with a Black Snake tattoo and hairstyle resembling Goo Hwi's. After their boss receive word of the perpetrator's locations, he sends everyone out after them, thinking they are government spies.
Hwangbo Soong presents a chest containing several gold bars to a man inside a hut while his servant and guards wait outside. One of the guards converse with another and expresses his discontent on how much money the man in the hut will receive compared to himself. They both also reveal their treacherous nature. Suddenly, a large boulder flies out of nowhere and crushes Hwangbo Soong's carriage. A large group of bandits confront them and their boss introduces himself as Goo Hwi, the Heaven Ravager King!
Meanwhile, Sohee and the Black Snake discovers the location of Goo Hwi but are puzzled that he is supposedly the bandit chieftain of the Cheongpung stronghold. Since the Tramps' Sect are a credible source of information, they decide to go and see for themselves.
Elsewhere, Goo Hwi is cooking a meal. An elderly lady stumbles onto him and after a brief misunderstanding, she reveals that a bandit chieftain is impersonating him and committing atrocities. Furious that some low-life is destroying his reputation, Goo Hwi decides to go deal with the chieftain.
