Chapter 6: In a forest, Yongbi clashes with and annihilates a large group of martial artists. Before dying, one of the men informs Yongbi that they severely underestimated him but adds that he won't escape the "Demon's Wrath", a tactical manoeuvre utilized by their group, the Secret Sword School.
The web of pursuit (also known as the Demon's Wrath) was a tactical maneuver first seen to be used by the Red Bloods and then by the Secret Sword School. The Red Bloods uses it as a means to capture their targets but this doesn't necessarily mean their targets won't receive any casualties if they choose to fight back, while the Secret Sword School uses it to eliminate their targets. In any case, both uses require massive amounts of personnel to pull off.
The Red Blood's web of pursuit was said to be legendary and inescapable, known even by outsiders such as Cruel Moon Archdemon. The Red Bloods utilizes at least seventy-five squads to surround a location in multiple lines to comb the area. Their agents are required to send a report back to headquarters every six hours and the Red Bloods use this information to track down their target. In addition, if a squad meets their end and fails to send a report, it can tip off the Red Bloods. The web of pursuit was said to be the nature of a net that strangles their target even tighter the harder they struggle.
Contrary to the Red Bloods, the Secret Sword School uses this tactical maneuver offensively. The Secret Sword School uses grand numbers to corner their target from seemingly out of nowhere, and utilizes human wave attacks to overrun and overwhelm them. It also causes their target to grow fear and lose composure, increasing its effectiveness in taking down their opponents. The Gold Bug claims that with enough numbers, this is the best tactic to use to crush a few opponents.
