Chapter 7: As Yongbi rides off, Hong Ye-Mong's aides expresses their concerns about how every master-class martial artist in the Murim will be after Yul Mugi and the golden medallion as well as leaving the task to Yongbi, calling him a "bumbling novice". Hong Ye-Mong retorts that while he is a newcomer to the Gangho, Yongbi was once an officer of the prestigious Black Lancers cavalry (The deadliest cavalry regiment in the country serving under the Grand General's command). As her aides wonder why someone would abandon such a prestigious life, Hong Ye-Mong has a fit from being reminded of Yongbi's deception.

Meanwhile, Yongbi briefly stops at a restaurant for food and he pays for the meal by offering a captured criminal with a bounty of 100 Nyang despite the owner's protests. Elsewhere, Goo Hwi and Yul Mugi are lying on the ground unconscious with two spears sticking out of Goo Hwi's buttocks.
