Chapter 82: As Sohsoh's group wait out the earthquake, Sohsoh notices a signal from the Red Bloods and wanders off. Hyeon Jae-Yang wanders off as well, using exhaustion as an excuse. Ilgak removes his pants to go to the bathroom and unwittingly exposes his buttocks to the Young Lady accompanying Hyeon Jae-Yang. She angrily smashes her jar of wine over his head, stomps him in the buttocks, and prepares to bury him.
Sohsoh and the Red Bloods agents conversed and commands them to hide before Hyeon Jae-Yang arrives. Hyeon Jae-Yang approaches Sohsoh and reveals that he overheard their conversation and now knows that she is actually the mistress of the Red Bloods. After Hyeon Jae-Yang accuses her of being dubious, Sohsoh fires back by revealing that Sanggwan Chaek was the one responsible for bringing the demonists to the Middle Kingdom to begin with.
As Elder Muk and his disciples tend to Yongbi, he briefly wakes up but returns to his comatose state right after. In his coma, Yongbi relives the events of his past; his time as a commander of the Black Lancers. He leaves his tent to see his subordinate, Jeok Seong, bring Biryong to him and Jeok Seong tells him that the other Black Lancers are waiting for him at a fort they conquered. At that, Yongbi mounts Biryong.
