Dongju was a well-known assassin syndicate.

History

The Dongju was involved in the search for the Golden Castle. When Yongbi's party set off from the "Bihak Sect's" base, their spy sent a messenger hawk to inform the leader. They then set up an ambush on the path Yongbi's party was travelling but called it off when they noticed that Hyeon Jae-Yang was accompanying them; fearing that an ambush would not succeed against the powerful gosu. Unwilling to give up on the Golden Castle, they proceeded with their next plan and noted that they will find a way to deal with Hyeon Jae-Yang. It is unknown what the Dongju did in the Muhae Valley.

At some point, they were hired by the Seok Family to capture Lee Serin alive, a man accused of murdering Master Seok Yun, the wealthiest man in the Gangdong Region. As Lee Serin was about to hang himself, the assassins arrive in time to cut him down. But before they can capture him, Yongbi arrived and killed the assassins. The members of Dongju was then seen trying to ambush Yongbi as he escorted Lee Serin but were once again dispatched by the bounty hunter. It is assumed that Dongju is defunct because Yongbi was noted to have killed off the remnants.

Dongju was lead by a single man and they all wore the same hooded robe that covered their body and head.

They used a unique assassination method known as the "moving village", where they set up a village complete with furnishings to ambush their target in. They then blend with the walls, roof, and even trees through unknown means and jump out to attack whenever ready. However, they were not completely undetectable since a high level gosu could sense their faint murderous intent.
