Hwang Inbok

Hwang Inbok (황인복, Hwang-inbog) was a member of the Black Lancers.

Appearance & Personality[]

He was a baby-faced young man with short black hair tied back into a traditional bun. As a member of the Black Lancers, he wore their standard uniform and carried around a spear.

Despite having been a criminal, Hwang Inbok was sympathetic and caring young lad as he felt unpleasant for killing his elderly enemies. He was also a very sociable person who dared to converse with Yongbi despite the commander's terrifying reputation.

History[]

In the past, he committed an unknown crime and was inducted into the Black Lancer's cavalry regiment against his will and despite being just a rookie and the youngest of the troops at age 26 (not counting Yongbi), he survived many battles.

During a siege on a castle, Hwang Inbok approached Yongbi and informed his commander of his concerns that the defenders were elderly as his own parents were elders. Yongbi dismissed his concerns and reminded him to quit thinking of such things as it can cost him his life in battle. Jeok Seong then came over and told him to stop bothering the commander. In the end, Inbok perished when he returned to the battlefield.[1]
