Old Man Hwang, also referred to as Grandpa Hwang, is a ginseng digger that resides in Yellow Dragon Mountain.
Appearance & Personality[]
He is a small elderly man with wrinkled skin, messy white hair that is tied back, and is missing most of his teeth. He also has a Fu Manchu moustache and a short beard. He tends to wear sandals, shabby clothing, and a scarf.
He has a good relationship with the employees at the tavern on Yellow Dragon Mountain, and is a friendly and hardworking person.

History[]
Some time ago, his wife passed away and he had a tough time because he didn't have any money for her funeral but he was saved by a donation from Lord Nam.[1]
Plot[]
Doh Gyeom, the Iron Lion[]
As Song Yerin led Doh Gyeom to the entrance to Yellow Rock Village, they ran into Old Man Hwang and had a short conversation before continuing on. Yerin and Gyeom were later captured by thugs and as they carried them through the forest, they were spotted by Old Man Hwang. The old man rushed to pass on the news but fell on his way down the rocky terrain. However, he eventually made it to the tavern heavily battered and informed Chohyang and Gang Ryong about Yerin.
Season 2 Intro[]
He was seen having a meal when Gang Ryong returned after his journey and was among the villagers who greeted him.
