History[]
Sometime before the events of Yongbi the Invincible, Wang In left the Black Snake and proclaimed that he would never return to the world of martial artists again to take care of his ailing daughter.[2][3]
Plot[]
Yongbi the Invincible[]
Volume 5[]
Arriving at his home, Hwangbo Soong presented a chest containing several gold bars, intending to hire him as a bodyguard.
Having accepted Hwangbo Soong's offer, Wang In stepped out of his home and confronted the band of brigands (led by the Fake Goo Hwi) that was fighting the other bodyguards. He announced that he only ignored their atrocities because he was barely able to provide for himself and now he was financially secure, he would purge them all from the world. Wang In then killed all of the bandits with his incredible bow skills. They then set off to find the Golden Castle, and to hunt down Yongbi and Yul Mugi along the way.
Volume 7[]
Hot on Yongbi's trail, he and his party entered the Muhae Valley after them. Later, Yongbi set up a decoy with a fake Golden Medallion causing various groups of martial artists to slaughter each other to obtain it. He stood beside his employer and watched as his colleagues Chomu, Lim Jin-Choong, and Jeok Seong joined the chaotic battle.
Volume 8[]
He was standing beside his employer when the Muhae Valley started shaking.
Volume 10[]
After the earthquake, Hwangbo Soong sent him to scout the area. In doing so, he stumbled upon massive killing intent radiating from a person fighting with madmen that the killing intent had attracted. Yongbi slaughtered the horde of mad men that had gathered around him. He was then approached by Wang In and after confirming Yongbi's identity from a sketch, Wang In fired an arrow to catch Yongbi's attention. With Yongbi's attention on him, Wang In introduced himself, revealing that he was a former member of the Black Snake. He then clashed with Yongbi (who was still unconscious with his body moving on autopilot). Wang In put up a valiant effort but Yongbi blocked all of the attacks and overpowered him by using the environment to his advantage. Eventually, Yongbi caught Wang In off guard by using a decoy. Wang In reacted by using his bow to stop the attack but Yongbi slashed right through it and cut down Wang In. As Yongbi was about to finish his opponent off, Goo Hwi hurled and struck Yongbi with a large boulder, launching him far away. Then Jang-Ryong and Pung-Ho arrived and gave medical aid to the unconscious and heavily wounded Wang In.
Volume 15[]
He was safely evacuated from the Muhae Valley by the Black Snake. In a meeting between Goo Hwi and Yul Mugi, it is revealed that he was currently staying at the Geumcheonbo's Hobuck branch for his daughter's medical treatment.
Powers and Abilities[]
Wang In is a gosu who is incredibly adept with a bow, being able to fire several arrows at once capable of piercing through several enemies without slowing down. He had attained such a fearsome reputation that it is claimed that there is hardly anyone in the murim capable of matching him in battle when he wields a bow.[4] He has also shown to be quite proficient at hand-to-hand combat, having blown away a massive wave of water containing multiple corpses.[5]
Weapons[]
Master Archer: While Wang In uses a traditional bow and arrows, anything he touches turns into a lethal weapon the moment it's drawn with his bowstring, even a rotten twig will become powerful enough to punch through a boulder.[4] This is no understatement as he was able to bisect a human body with just a blade of grass.[5] Another thing that made his archery so deadly is that Wang In used snakes as projectiles, they are able to change directions in midair to strike opponents hiding behind obstacles and they produce venom strong enough to kill their victims instantly.[4]
